Digi Docs is a two-day event, dedicated to exploring the digital revolution in broadcasting and the impact that convergence, digitization and interactivity have on the future of screen story telling.

The curators of Digi Docs at Hot Docs (Toronto), Sara Diamond and Peter Wintonick, will present workshops focusing on interactivity and the documentary form. Sara Diamond, of The Banff Centre of the Arts, is one of the world's most respected New Media teachers. Montreal based film maker, Peter Wintonick, is regarded as one of the best documentarians of this generation.

DIGI DOCS is a unique opportunity to hear about the national and international on-line production scene with ticket prices set to please independent practitioner budgets!

Australian guest speakers from Massive Interactive, Australian Film Commission, ABC New Media, ABC On Line, SBS New Media, SBS Independent (Documentary), Channel 9 Digital, Channel 7 Digital, SAFC, Film Victoria, FFC and ANAT.

Sara Diamond, Director New Media, Banff Centre for the Arts & award winning film maker Peter Wintonick give an introduction to what they will present the following day. It includes a case study presentation from Peter Wintonick entitled "Seeing is Believing - crossing the digital divide with Witness, etc." and a showcase of a projects from the U.K., 'Sweethearts' and 'Kidnap'.

Sara and Peter present an in-depth workshop of online documentary and short films made for the Internet from around the world. Project from the States, Canada, U.K. and more. Australian Panelists will join Sara and Peter in a couple of sessions during the day. There will be room for project analysis sessions with Sara Diamond and Peter Wintonick and pitching opportunities throughout.
